EXAMPLE POLICIES & FORMS
Policies We know that developing and writing policies is often a challenge for new and even existing shelters. To assist we have example policies and forms from various shelters that have been provided for your use. You can simply copy these policies/forms and edit for your own agency. If you think you have a good policy, standard operating procedure or forms that others might find useful, please send them to hselco@bellsouth.net and we will then add to this website.

The Alabama Humane Federation is a 501(c)4
organization and does not engage in any political activity or partisan
campaigning as defined in § 501 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Alabama Humane
Federation does engage in lobbying or issue campaigning as defined in § 501 of
the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to the Alabama Humane Federation are not
tax-deductible, and donations, distributions, and membership fees paid to the
Alabama Humane Federation should be treated as direct lobbying expenditures as
