Spay Alabama is a project of the Alabama Animal Control Association, with the goal of ending the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in Alabama. The program was set into motion by Lynne Fridley of Maddie’s Fund, and Esther Mechler of Spay USA. We provide a single center, a single free phone call, that accesses all sorts of useful information regarding the various S/N clinics and programs statewide. This means that people in the poorest, most isolated parts of the state can find out where their nearest affordable S/N program is, and how to get help. We will also identify areas of no service and work to get programs started.
A single toll free number will eliminate confusion and run-around. We ask
everyone to join us and support this effort to end the national epidemic of
euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats.
